This week we have been celebrating The European Day of Languages, celebrated each year on 26th of September.
The main aims of the day are:
• to raise awareness of the importance of language learning;
• to promote the rich linguistic and cultural diversity present in Europe;
• to encourage lifelong language learning in and out of school.
In class we learnt tongue twisters, how to say ‘hello’ in a European language and listened to different languages from across Europe. We also had a delicious meal on Monday inspired by food from Hungary, Italy, France and the Netherlands!
The boys have also been sharing their own language learning experiences from home or their travels.
