On Friday 23rd September, Solefield held an ‘Odd Socks Day’ in order to raise money for Pakistan. Pakistan are experiencing major damage and disruption due to intense flooding.
Aalim, in Year 4 raised his concerns and wanted our school to help those in need. Working alongside Jonathan, our Charities Prefect, the boys came up with a plan of how to raise money. We saw lots of wonderful combinations of socks, which the boys had lots of fun wearing with their uniforms and games kits.
Following this initiative, the school raised an incredible £1,060 which has been sent directly to the Disasters Emergency Committee for Pakistan. Thank you so much for your support and kind donations.
In addition to this, Aalim has selflessly donated over £420 of his own money to support those in Pakistan. A wonderful example of our Solefield Values.
We are very proud of our community and how the boys so willingly come together to support other people.
