The Solefield School Community is profoundly saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We extend our deepest condolences to all the Royal family.
Your sons have done you proud today. Such mature, thoughtful, sensitive young men. Our assembly was very moving, their behaviour was impeccable and we shall continue to look after them as the mourning period continues and thereafter.
They know that the world may look different for a while and I have also stressed that we should celebrate the Queen's remarkable life and values.

As I think you all know, I am a great believer in keeping things as steady, stable and 'normal' as possible for our young men so this will very much be the line Solefield School will take.
