On Wednesday, Year 4 visited Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve as part of their study of living organisms in their habitat.
The pupils were able to have a go at pond dipping to identify and count different invertebrate species: "I loved finding lots of interesting creatures like the water scorpion."
There are different invertebrate species on land and the pupils were able to collect some of these in sweep nets: "I enjoyed the sweeping of the grass and looking for bugs."
There was also an opportunity to visit one of the many bird hides, looking out over the lakes across the reserve: "I loved spotting every bird and showing them to my friends."
Year 4 had an enjoyable day and learned lots of new and interesting information.
