Our senior basketball players enjoyed a great day at the Solefield School IAPS National Basketball Championships, held at the Sennocke Centre at Sevenoaks School. Ten schools from around the country enjoyed competitive matches in a friendly environment. Congratulations to the Under 11 Champions Yately Manor and Under 13 Champions Lochinver House School.
Solefield boys played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Our U11 Year 6 team secured a bronze medal, with the U13s (Year 7&8) and U11 Year 5 team, being runners up in the plate final. A special mention to the Year 5s who did extremely well to make the plate final; they will surely be a strong contender. We look forward to hosting this national event again next year.
