Our Year 8 Academic Scholars led our Monday Assembly by discussing how we 'value our world' (one of our Solefield Core Values).
Eloquently and with ease, they confidently explained the importance of looking after our world, current climate issues and COP 26 before focusing on what we are doing in our school.
They congratulated all year groups for their valuable input during a whole school eco survey and commented how impressed they were with the level of current understanding amongst our students and their eagerness to learn more. The boys then discussed the outcomes of their working lunch with Mrs McClure, establishing what we are already doing well and planning out further 'green plans for the future'.
They mentioned the forthcoming visit by the Mayor of Sevenoaks next week, where local Eco issues will be top of the agenda and then closed by showing our students a compelling speech by Sir David Attenborough. Well done to these Year 8 Scholars.
