This week we had our first student wellbeing committee meeting - the Wellbeing Champions. We discussed what it means to be a Wellbeing Champion in the school and the boys came up with this description:
A wellbeing champion is a role model for wellbeing in the school. It means helping others when they are sad and always being kind. A wellbeing champion asks their year group for ideas about wellbeing in the school and shares it at the meetings to make wellbeing even better at Solefield.
This week the following ideas were raised by the boys:
-
Each year group could design a poster reminding children how to play nicely in the playground (no pushing etc.)
-
Paint the wellbeing bench in the playground with bright colours to make it stand out.
-
Create a kindness tree where everyone in the school puts ideas about being kind.
